All this from a woman with enough plastic in her face to recycle into a park bench. I’m not sure where they’re going to bury her; she’s going to take forever to decompose. Aside from all the prosthetics, there’s the formaldehyde to worry about. Plus, I hear spite is a wonderful preservative. (There you go, Joan, How’s your medicine taste?)

My heart goes out to Joan Rivers’ family for their loss…but this woman made a legacy of insulting and belittling others. She was unapologetic about the constant racist and sexist slurs she splashed all over Twitter and television. Whatever positive contributions she might have made are far outweighed by her piss-poor attitude toward other human beings.

And calling it “comedy” doesn’t excuse it.

Joan Rivers is not a feminist icon. Joan Rivers is a bitter, disrespectful person who took every opportunity to publicly tear others down and didn’t care about what feminism actually means: respect and support and equality for ALL women, full stop.

Rest In Peace, hag.

"You know the reason The Beatles made it so big?…’I Wanna Hold Your Hand.’ First single. Fucking brilliant. Perhaps the most fucking brilliant song ever written. Because they nailed it. That’s what everyone wants. Not 24/7 hot wet sex. Not a marriage that lasts a hundred years. Not a Porsche…or a million-dollar crib. No. They wanna hold your hand. They have such a feeling that they can’t hide. Every single successful song of the past fifty years can be traced back to ‘I Wanna Hold Your Hand.’ And every single successful love story has those unbearable and unbearably exciting moments of hand-holding."
